The summer edition does not arrive out of nowhere. Three seasons of the AITEX Summit have already been completed, and each one produced finished, working software rather than concepts on slides.
Fall 2025 brought projects centered on connection and access, including offline communication tools and accessibility features. Winter 2026 focused on analytics and decision making, with winners that turned complicated information into clear guidance people could act on. Spring 2026 moved into personal and civic territory, with tools for health, medication safety, career planning, and community management.

The pattern across all three seasons is consistent: projects with a clearly defined user and a small first version that actually runs have done better than broad platforms that live mostly in presentations.

This summer opens the field wider than any previous edition. Under the theme Tech for Impact, teams can build in four directions:
Health & Wellbeing covers technology that improves lives, from clinical and accessibility tools to mental health apps and patient care.
Society & Sustainability is aimed at solutions for a better world, including education, climate, civic tech, and financial inclusion.
Business & Productivity addresses how companies operate, through automation, analytics, decision intelligence, and customer experience.
Open Innovation exists for experimental builds and ideas that fit no category.
Whatever the track, the question behind every project is the same. Can your team point at a real problem in everyday life or work and produce software that answers it?
Feedback While You Build
Every submission is reviewed by a judging panel with hands-on experience across engineering, infrastructure, product, design, and domain areas matched to each track. Projects are evaluated on originality, practical usefulness, technical implementation, feasibility, and the quality of the presentation.
For many participants, this feedback is the most valuable part of the format. In a normal career, you might wait months to learn whether an idea holds up. Here, that assessment arrives during the build itself, from people who have faced the same problems you are trying to solve.
