Bohdan Marchuk serves as Chief Technology Officer at BoringOwl in Warsaw, bringing over 12 years of specialized expertise in enterprise digital transformation and mobile architecture across Europe. Currently leading the development of custom e-commerce, ERP, and mobile solutions for Poland's leading companies including MZURI, SAO, iSing, Kwant, Dr.Marcus, and GlobGranit, he is simultaneously pioneering VoiceCanvas AAC, an innovative iOS application leveraging artificial intelligence to empower nonverbal individuals with autism, ALS, and other communication disorders.

In his current role as CTO at BoringOwl since January 2024, Marchuk spearheads technical strategy and ensures delivery of innovative, scalable solutions while leading cross-functional teams in mobile and web architecture development. He collaborates directly with executives to align technical initiatives with business goals and drive comprehensive digital transformation across enterprise clients. His leadership encompasses the complete lifecycle of secure iOS payment systems, ensuring full compliance with PSD2 and SCA regulations that directly enabled market entry and regulatory readiness for financial products.

Previously serving as CTO and Mobile System Architect at Tech Paradise from September 2019 through December 2023, Marchuk led the design and development of mobile and web platforms that significantly improved user experience and operational efficiency. He implemented microservices architecture that reduced system downtime while boosting flexibility, and managed a team of 16 developers while enhancing productivity through CI/CD practices. His contributions to long-term technology strategy and infrastructure improvements enabled global scaling capabilities for the organization.

During his tenure as Senior Software Engineer at Circle K from June 2018 to June 2022, Marchuk designed and developed high-traffic retail mobile applications that achieved a 30% increase in user engagement. He collaborated with global teams to integrate third-party services and APIs while leading the transition from legacy systems to modern cloud infrastructure, resulting in improved scalability and reduced operational costs. His work on Circle K's global mobile application supported over 750,000 daily active users across international fuel stations, enabling seamless station finding, fuel purchases, and promotional access.
At Connectmedica from October 2017 to May 2018, he developed mobile healthcare applications with particular focus on usability and accessibility, enhancing performance and security through comprehensive code refactoring and implementation of best practices. His earlier role as Mobile Software Engineer at Concise Software from October 2016 to August 2017 involved developing iOS applications with custom features for fintech and e-commerce clients, while his foundational experience at PrimeBit Studio from March 2013 to November 2016 established his expertise in iOS development and performance optimization across multiple iOS versions.

Marchuk's notable project portfolio includes developing Zafakturowani, a specialized financial application for EU-based startups that simplified tax calculations, invoicing, and financial tracking for entrepreneurs. He built Bizversity, a comprehensive business coaching platform offering access to over 1,000 training videos from 250+ global business experts with real-time content updates and personalized recommendations. His work on Unilever's BlueAir application focused on accessibility improvements ensuring WCAG compliance, while his creation of Ewellness Magazine's digital platform supported dynamic content management and multimedia integration. Additionally, he designed Highp, an innovative promotional messaging platform that delivers personalized video content through SMS, email, and push notifications.

His professional achievements include authoring and implementing scalable system architectures for high-load consumer applications, addressing complex challenges such as audio latency, synchronization, and real-time performance in entertainment platforms. He developed a telemedicine mobile application from concept to production, contributing to improved healthcare access during critical demand periods. His introduction of engineering best practices and reusable technical frameworks has consistently increased development efficiency, code stability, and long-term maintainability across multiple products.

Marchuk earned his Bachelor's Degree in Web Languages and Technologies from the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow between 2012 and 2014. His technical expertise encompasses mobile architecture using Swift and Kotlin, web development with JavaScript, React, React Native, Next.js and Nest.js, backend development through REST APIs and microservices, cloud integration with AWS and Google Cloud platforms, accessibility standards compliance including WCAG and ADA requirements, and DevOps practices utilizing Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes within Agile development methodologies.
