Danil Redko is a Senior Software Engineer with over five years of experience building backend systems and APIs for SaaS and AI-driven products, based in Toronto, Ontario. His work spans high-performance API design, distributed event-driven systems, and production-grade infrastructure, with a particular focus on reliability, data compliance, and scalable architecture.

Since September 2025, Danil Redko has been a Senior Software Engineer at Ada, an AI-powered customer service platform serving enterprise clients globally. In this role, he engineered a public developer API from design through general availability, eliminating a critical third-party vendor dependency across the company's core product infrastructure ahead of a hard vendor sunset deadline. He redesigned an internal API framework's file handling layer and resolved a production-blocking security configuration issue, unblocking enterprise customers from accessing file upload capabilities. He also built end-to-end webhook infrastructure for multiple new channel types, expanding the platform's API coverage across both messaging and voice channels, and extended Ada's webhook delivery system to support regional data routing, achieving data residency compliance for enterprise customers in regulated markets.

Prior to Ada, Danil Redko served as Senior Backend Developer at Rover, a marketing platform for sports teams, from September 2023 to September 2025. He scaled the system to handle 2,000 requests per second daily, with peaks reaching 5,000 requests per second, and developed data pipelines in TypeScript and Node.js on Kafka to optimize data ingestion. He collaborated with the iOS SDK team for real-time event consumption, optimized PostgreSQL query performance to return results in under one second against tables containing millions of rows, and designed and implemented GraphQL endpoints alongside the underlying database schema changes. He also integrated third-party vendors including SeatGeek and Ticketmaster, and participated in monthly on-call rotations to maintain system reliability.

From April 2022 to September 2023, Danil Redko co-founded Mehor, a restaurant ordering platform, where he served as CTO. He led the product from zero to launch, building a web application using React, Redux, Express, and PostgreSQL, which included an order management and inventory dashboard built with Material UI, a RESTful API built with Express.js, and a deployment architecture on GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker. He integrated Stripe for payments and the Uber and WhatsApp APIs for delivery tracking, and signed approximately 30 paying restaurant clients. Mehor was accepted into the Entrepreneur First accelerator — backed by Greylock Partners and Founders Fund, a program that accepts roughly 1% of applicants and funds approximately 40% of those admitted — where the company received investment. He led a team of three developers through the full product lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
Before founding Mehor, Danil Redko completed a four-month stint as Entrepreneur in Residence at Entrepreneur First from April to July 2022, one of the world's leading co-founder matching programs with a portfolio valued at over $5 billion.

From February 2021 to April 2022, he was a Full Stack Developer at Citylitics, Inc., a startup delivering predictive intelligence on utility and public infrastructure markets. There, he designed and developed APIs and RESTful services using Django REST Framework, contributed to front-end development in React and Redux, and implemented RabbitMQ message queuing for post-processing workflows. He built a website crawler on Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, and Elasticsearch that collected and indexed data on municipal budgets and capital improvement plans to surface insights for construction companies. He also led a project to scale the company's document processing system, increasing throughput from 200,000 to 2 million documents per month — a 10x improvement in processing capacity.

Earlier in his career, Danil Redko worked as a Project Engineer at Evertz Microsystems in Burlington, Ontario, from October 2019 to February 2021. Evertz is a corporation delivering broadcasting software and hardware solutions to global clients. He designed and implemented Python and JavaScript scripts managing the front-end of broadcasting systems, designed client workflows, visited client sites to execute implementations and deliver training, and deployed services using AWS EC2.
