Liudmyla Shumilina is a Founding Designer and Creative Director specializing in workflow-heavy SaaS platforms, with over six years of experience designing and scaling digital products across 40+ countries. Based in Chicago, Illinois, she brings together product strategy, systems thinking, and user-centered design to build high-impact experiences from concept through scale.

Since October 2023, Liudmyla Shumilina has served as Creative Director at LEVA, a Swiss-based investment management platform operating across 40 countries with a team of 30 professionals. In this role, she built LEVA's product and brand experience from the ground up, establishing a scalable UX architecture, a unified design system, and a cohesive visual identity. She designed and launched a responsive investment platform aligned with legal compliance requirements and investor trust, and created a modular UI kit complete with interaction guidelines and motion tokens to accelerate implementation and enable white-label flexibility. Her work was grounded in ongoing UX research and usability testing to refine investor onboarding and validate platform-market fit.

Concurrently, Liudmyla Shumilina has worked as a Senior Experience Designer at Meazure Learning since November 2022, contributing to one of the leading providers of secure, technology-driven assessment solutions. She led the end-to-end redesign of the Exam Creation Flow, simplifying complex workflows and increasing efficiency for exam authors and psychometricians. Her contributions introduced new interactive item types, including Drag & Drop and Hotspot interactions, while improving accessibility compliance across the platform. She also designed scalable competency tracking systems and multi-day exam scheduling features that reduced setup time and improved user accuracy, and developed a Figma-based design system and motion library that strengthened UI consistency across applications.
In June 2022, Liudmyla Shumilina founded NOD Studio, a boutique product design studio based in Chicago focused on helping startups move from idea to scalable SaaS product. Through the studio, she manages client acquisition, positioning, and delivery, defines internal processes for design execution and AI-assisted workflows, and mentors designers to maintain consistent, high-quality output. The studio operates through founder-led partnerships and referrals, with work spanning SaaS platforms, brand identities, and conversion-focused product experiences.

Earlier in her career, she worked as a Senior Experience Designer at Doma Holdings from June 2022 through January 2023, where she redesigned core loan application workflows for borrowers, agents, and lenders at this PropTech company transforming real estate transactions through AI-driven title and escrow solutions. She reduced cognitive load across complex workflows, delivered high-fidelity prototypes for responsive devices, and established a modular design system that standardized UI components and accelerated design-to-development handoff across the Lending Division. Prior to that, she contributed as a Senior UX/UI Designer at Acadeum from September 2021 to June 2023, an EdTech platform enabling course sharing across 500+ colleges and universities, and earlier as a UX/UI Designer at Eleken from January 2019 through September 2021, working across online proctoring solutions in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Liudmyla Shumilina is the co-founder of Rendezvoux, a design community organization, and serves as City Chapter Lead for ADPList Chicago, a role she has held since July 2024. In this capacity, she organizes and hosts events connecting designers across the Chicago area, including the "Decoding Design Hiring" panel and "Inclusive Interfaces: Building Accessibility Into Every Design Decision," a fireside chat she hosted with accessibility consultant Pierce Arner on integrating accessibility practices into everyday product workflows.

She has authored the LinkedIn article "The Design Role in 2026," exploring how AI tooling is reshaping the responsibilities and capabilities of product designers. Liudmyla Shumilina has been recognized as a Top 1% Mentor in Design on ADPList and has accumulated over 3,000 mentorship minutes on the platform. She is a speaker at Nivan 2026, an innovation conference at the Institute of Design in Chicago.
