Roman Ismagilov is a Principal Software Engineer with over five years of commercial experience building enterprise systems for the financial sector, where the cost of an interface error extends beyond user inconvenience to regulatory fines and legal exposure.

In his current role as Principal Software Engineer at Alfa-Bank, a position he has held since May 2026, Roman Ismagilov works on the bank's collections platform for overdue consumer debt, a system used daily by staff across more than a dozen access roles that must remain available at the precise moment an operator reaches a client. He takes ownership of features across the full stack, from requirements review and solution design through client and server code, automated tests, and release across every environment. Over the course of his three years at Alfa-Bank, which began with his appointment as Lead Software Engineer in November 2023, he carried the legacy Angular application through two consecutive major framework upgrades without a feature freeze, and came to own the workflow orchestration that runs debt processing overnight.
Prior to Alfa-Bank, Roman Ismagilov served as Frontend Angular Developer at RED LLC from March 2022 to October 2023, where he built the document-management module of an industry CRM covering the full real-estate transaction cycle from scratch. Working as the sole client-side owner within a team of three, he designed and delivered an in-browser editor with full formatting and image support that produces correctly formatted PDF, Word, and Excel documents in a single action from templates configurable per client. The module shipped following successful pilots with two major customers. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Frontend Developer at Mygento from September 2021 to February 2022, where he gained foundational experience in front-end development.

Roman Ismagilov holds a Specialist Diploma in Engineering from Tyumen State Oil and Gas University, where he studied from 2010 to 2015. He also completed the Web-Developer Plus Professional Training Course issued by Yandex Practicum in December 2022. His technical expertise spans JavaScript, Angular, React, Java, Spring, workflow orchestration, database migrations, and test automation.
