Ruslan Tsyganok is a software engineer and engineering leader with over four years of experience in e-commerce and fintech, specializing in high-load systems, platform engineering, and cross-functional team development.
Ruslan Tsyganok currently serves as Head of Development Team at ecom.tech (Smart Space LLC, formerly Samokat.tech), a position he has held since August 2023. In this role, he leads end-to-end delivery of complex software projects, collaborates closely with stakeholders and product teams, and built the development team from scratch, scaling it while mentoring engineers across the organization.
Prior to moving into the team lead role, Ruslan Tsyganok worked as a Software Engineer at ecom.tech from April 2022 to August 2023. During this period, he integrated Megamarket with external applications, developed and maintained core analytical services built to handle high-load traffic, and established monitoring and alert systems from the ground up. He also created code generation tooling, configured GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and conducted load testing to ensure platform reliability and performance.
Before joining ecom.tech, Ruslan Tsyganok was a Software Engineer at OZON.ru from August 2021 to April 2022, where he maintained the primary Ozon Fresh application and built an internal service to manage the assortment matrix. He also wrote automated tests, performed load testing and monitoring, and configured CI/CD pipelines to support continuous deployment.

Ruslan Tsyganok has authored three peer-reviewed publications: "A Product-Driven Approach to the Development of a Micro-Service Framework," published in Current Research in December 2023; "Organization of Cross-Functional (DevOps/PM) Teams in E-Commerce: Processes for Teamwork," published in the Asian Journal of Research in Computer Science in June 2025; and "Platform as a Product: How Turning Internal Platform Solutions into a Product Increases the Engagement of External Teams," published in the Universal Library of Engineering Technology in 2025.
He is a recipient of the All-Russian "Time for Innovation" 2024 Award and the National Business Award in Technology and Innovation 2025. Since June 2025, he has been a member of the Hackathon Raptors Guild of Expert Engineers, an international organization in the field of information technology.
Ruslan Tsyganok holds a Specialist degree in Computer and Information Systems Security and Information Assurance from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, completed in March 2021. His technical expertise spans Go, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, Grafana, GitLab CI/CD, and load testing methodologies.
