Sambit Mohanty is a Digital HR Technology leader with more than 15 years of experience driving enterprise HR transformation across healthcare, consulting, and technology sectors. Based in the United States, he has led seven full-cycle HCM implementations across global markets, building integrated, data-driven HR ecosystems for some of the world's largest organizations. His work spans HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, recruitment technology, talent management, and HR analytics, consistently translating complex organizational challenges into measurable operational outcomes.

In his current role at VITAS Healthcare, Sambit Mohanty has redesigned core HR operations across one of the largest hospice providers in the country. He automated 80% of benefits administration processes, reducing open enrollment errors by 60% and cutting HR inquiries by 35%, while ensuring employees in a highly regulated healthcare environment had timely access to benefit programs through annual open enrollment, life-event changes, and ongoing data accuracy efforts. On the payroll side, he implemented process improvements and automation that achieved 99.8% payroll accuracy while reducing payroll processing time by 50%, including support for 401(k) deductions and payroll-related system processes. He also built out HR analytics capabilities to track workforce trends such as hiring patterns, termination rates, onboarding progress, and General Manager performance, giving leadership the data foundation to make informed operational decisions. Additionally, he maintained system integrations between core HR platforms and external partners including Microsoft Viva Glint, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum, ensuring continuous data flow and reducing manual reconciliation across HR and benefits operations.

Prior to joining VITAS Healthcare, Sambit Mohanty spent a significant portion of his career at Deloitte Consulting, where he delivered large-scale Oracle HCM Cloud implementations for Fortune 500 clients across financial services, insurance, and waste management sectors. For Waste Management, he served as Offshore Tech Lead and Product Owner, completing Phase Zero analysis, finalizing scope with the client, and leading a team of 14 to develop more than 100 integrations using HCM Extract, BIP, and HDL for data exchange between Oracle HCM Cloud, an Informatica and Matillion data warehouse, and third-party vendors. For Liberty Mutual Insurance, he served as HCM Conversion Lead, generating HDL and PBL files across Work Structure, Core HR, Talent, and Payroll modules, before transitioning to Offshore HCM Technical Lead, where he designed and implemented an HR Integration Hub and Data Mart architecture that eliminated point-to-point connections between HCM Cloud and Informatica. He managed a team of 10 to deliver 90 integrations and 50 reports for that engagement. At Prudential Financial, he led the HCM Data Conversion track, executing multiple data load cycles using HDL across Work Structure, Core HR, and Compensation modules, supporting core HR configurations via REST API, and creating BI Publisher and OTBI reports for post-conversion validation and root cause analysis. For Wells Fargo, he provided end-to-end technical execution including pre-validation of CSV conversion files, FBL-based data loads, direct client requirement gathering for Compensation reports, and post-production defect resolution across HR configurations.
Beyond client delivery, Sambit Mohanty has built tools that have had lasting cross-project impact. At Deloitte, he created the Setup Extractor Tool, an automated solution for Oracle HCM Cloud configuration management that replaced error-prone manual spreadsheets. The tool delivered a 75% reduction in migration errors, compressed multi-week configuration migrations into days to achieve 40% faster deployment cycles, and provided complete audit traceability for regulated industries. Deployed across more than seven client engagements, it saved over 200 person-hours per implementation and contributed to a 12–15% improvement in RFP win rates by serving as a technical differentiator during competitive bids. At VITAS Healthcare, he developed the Recruiter Efficiency Dashboard, a real-time analytics platform for the organization's nationwide talent acquisition team. The dashboard reduced time-to-fill for clinical positions by 24%, cutting average days to hire by 10 to 12 days, and contributed to a 12% drop in 90-day attrition, saving an estimated $1.2 million annually in rehiring costs. It also reduced time spent on resume screening by 40% and provided real-time visibility into time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates, pipeline velocity, and recruiter benchmarks across 15 states.

Sambit Mohanty has published three peer-reviewed articles in leading journals.
